Mangaluru: The new Executive Committee 2022-24 of Mangalore/Udupi Chapter, Indian Society of Training and Development (ISTD), led by CA MN Pai formally took charge at the Installation Ceremony held together with its Annual General Meet at the SDM College on June 25, 2022.
The new Executive Committee, comprises, CA M N Pai as Chairperson, Brian Fernandes as Vice-Chairperson, Dr. Malini Hebbar as secretary, Mrs. Shivani Baliga as Treasurer, Dr. Sanjay Deshpande and Mrs. Shalini Prabhu as National Council Members; Managing Committee members include Mrs. Preetham Kamath, Mrs Flosy Clara D’Souza, Peter Anthony Pinto, and Subhash Bangera. The new committee was elected unanimously.
Dr Malini Hebbar conducted the installation of the incoming team in an innovative and meaningful manner. It was a unique experience for members and office bearers alike!
The outgoing Chairman of Mangalore/Udupi Chapter Nivedita Mirajkar spoke on the initiatives taken during her term. She highlighted the fact that 14 MoU s were signed with Educational Institutions. With the increase in membership, the activities can now be expanded to include collaborations with industry, she said.
The outgoing committee included Dr. Malini Hebbar as Vice-Chairperson, Mrs. Preetham Kamath as secretary, Dr. H V Balachandra Achar as Treasurer, and CA MN Pai as National council member with Ms. Divyashree Gatti, Mr. Brijesh Krishnan, Mr. Brian Fernandes, and Mrs. Shivani Baliga aiding them as Managing Committee members.
Speaking to the Press after the installation, the Chairperson CA MN Pai said, “Our prime concern is the growth of our membership, both individual and corporate, and the professional growth of our entire membership. Also of equal importance, is to use our training expertise for the benefit of society, students, Corporates for mutual benefit. To this end, we plan to have one training session for members every quarter to better equip them to handle training assignments; this is in addition to one regular meeting every month where members interact on Upskilling mainly through peer learning. We would like to hold one national level conclave and enhance our engagement with Educational Institutions that have signed MOUs with the Chapter. We will also examine the feasibility of bringing out a digital journal for the professional reference of our members and beyond. We will actively looking to have a permanent meeting location for the chapter, for the convenience of members.”
Preetham Kamath welcomed the gathering and presented the report for the previous term 2020-2022. Dr. Balachandra Achar presented the financial report of the chapter. Brian Fernandes delivered the Vote of Thanks. Vidya Shenoy compered the program
