Mangaluru: In less than two weeks after his visit to Mangaluru for inaugurating various development programme in Bantwal, CM Siddaramiah will be in Mangaluru again to inaugurate the two day national-level Open Karate Tournament organised by Self Defense School of Indian Karate at Nehru Maidan on November 4.
District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai addressing the press meet here on Friday said “CM Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the two-day national level Open Karate Tournament in Mangaluru and then proceed to Shravanbelagola”.
He also said that AICC general secretary KC Venugopal will arrive in Mangaluru on November 6 . Along with him Congress leaders KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, Dinesh Gundu Rao, DK Shivakumar will also visit the city to take part in Mane Mange Congress programme at Akshabhavana and Deralakatte. Later KC Venugopal will be holding meeting with block presidents, MLAs MLC and also will address the party workers in the city.
“Siddaramaiah’s government has fulfilled 155 assurance out of 165 given to the people. Hence the government is emphasizing to fulfill the remaining 10 assurances while presenting its next budget in assembly in coming days,” he said.
The Congress, throughout the country will observe November 8 as ‘black day’ against the demonetization done by the Narendra Modi led BJP government, he said adding that he would take part in Padyatra from Sampaje to Madikeri on November 8 against demonetization.
Taking a jibe at the empty chairs at the BJP rally led by Amit Shah, Rai said that the state people do not wish for any Parivarthan since the Congress government has fulfilled all assurance made to the people
