Moodabidri: A consumer attacked a MESCOM staff member who disconnected the power supply to the former’s office in Taccode town council limits on Friday,November 25.
Consumer Kirti Reynold allegedly manhandled Pappu Kumar, a native of Bidar working for MESCOM in Moodibidri. The incident took place when the servicemen went to disconnect power at land links office, for non payment of electicity bills amounting to Rs 862
However some people said, old rivalry led to the scuffle.
Accused Kirti Reynold nabbed by the police was produced in the court which later released him on bail.
