Mangaluru: Panambur police have successfully arrested a man in connection with a robbery that occurred at Thokur on Tuesday, July 13.
The police officials recovered Rs 11.11 lac including gold jewellery weighing 248.6 gm worth Rs 11.06 lac.
The accused is a Thokur resident and the complainant’s neighbour. The accused is claimed to have developed a friendly relationship with the other members of the house. The accused broke into the house from the roof and stole the cash and jewellery while the complainant was away for two days.
The reports stated, the accused was facing financial problems and was also under debt causing him to take this step.
The cops have arrested the accused within a few hours of the crime.
