Mangaluru: Saneed, a 23-year-old cyclist from Kannur, Kerala, sets out on an extraordinary journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, and what sets him apart is his choice of transport – a bicycle with only one wheel. Passionate about bike stunts and inspired by his brothers from the stunt riding group DBZ, Saneed is known for his unique feats on specially modified cycles.
Speaking in Mangaluru on Sunday, Saneed shared his enthusiasm for performing stunts and explained his motivation for taking on this distinctive challenge. Having previously completed a 900-km ride from Kasaragod to Kanyakumari on a modified single-wheel cycle, he expressed his desire to attempt the iconic Kanyakumari to Kashmir route.
For this ambitious journey, which commenced on December 15, Saneed is accompanied by friends Tahir, 23, and Abhishek, 19, who are pedaling alongside on regular cycles. The trio aims to spread the message of ‘Say no to drugs’ during their cycle ride. Saneed shared his dream of reaching Umling La Pass, situated at an altitude of 19,300ft in Ladakh, within the next four months.
Expressing his aspiration to set a world record with the cycle ride, Saneed named it the “All India Without Front Wheel Cycle Ride.” His journey symbolizes not only a physical challenge but also a commitment to promoting a positive message while accomplishing a remarkable feat on a cycle.
