Day 1 of Coastalwood Premier League begins with a terrific performance

Mangaluru: With the Coastalwood Premier League(CPL) not being held last year, this year started with a terrific and nail-biting performance from all teams.

The CPL as the name suggests is a cricket tournament with members of the Coastalwood Artist &Technicians Association (CATCA). Each team is represented by a Coastalwood star.

The matches began after the inaugural ceremony on March 16 when the jerseys and the trophy were inaugurated. The matches are usually held from 7 am to 7 pm.

On March 17, five matches were held at Nehru Maidan. The first match was between Hurricanes of Tulunad and Karavali Warriors, where Karavali Warriors won by 9 wickets. The second match was between Vijayalaxmi Veeras and Challenging Stars, and Challenging Stars won by 6 wickets. in the third match, Hurricanes of Tulunad battled against Kudla Strikers, leading themselves to victory by 22 runs. The fourth match was between Royal Rangers and Black Panthers, and Royal Rangers won by 23 runs. The final match for the evening was between Kalanjali Commandos and Vijayalaxmi Veeras, with the Vijayalaxmi Veeras winning by 7 wickets.

To grace the occasion, Chief guests of the event were Sucharith Shetty, Director of Dk milk federation, Jaidevappa, Marketing Manager Dakshina Kannada milk federation, Mangaluru, Bhojara Vamajoor, Mohammed Latif (corporator), Pami Kodiyalbail, Kishore D Shetty, Radika Shetty, Ln chandrahas Shetty, Hassan Shid (MD of it deal buddy ), and Mohan Kopala Kadri, President of CATCA.

The CPL will continue till March 21 and is being live-streamed on V4 News.
