Mangaluru: District In-charge Minister U T Khader on July 27, informed the media that the under-construction DC Complex building in Padil would be completed by 2019 December end.
During his visit to the under-construction DC Complex building along with officials, Khader said, “The three-storeyed complex will be constructed at a cost of Rs 41 Crore in a 2.25 lakh square feet dimension. The complex will accommodate 254 vehicles in the parking lot located in the basement. The DC complex will serve as a single window consisting of 38 government offices of various departments.”
He also said that for the additional cost required for the interior designs of the building, the engineers could give an estimate to the government.
With intent to provide relief to the problem of single-site approval, 11 A and other revenue department problems in the district, he will hold meeting along with the revenue minister in Bengaluru, he said.

Cleanest District Challenge
Prior to his visit to DC complex, holding a press meet, U T Khader said that union government had launched the Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018 to rank the states and districts in the country on cleanliness.
“The survey team will visit various parts of the district to evaluate the public place cleanliness and people’s perspective on cleanliness. Hence the people’s representatives including MP, MLAs and local body representatives should involve along with various institutions to keep the public places clean and to see that the district ranks top in cleanliness in the country.”
The chosen districts will be given awards during Gandhi Jayanthi in Delhi, he added.
The survey will be held from August 1 to 30.
