DC, compol urge people to maintain law & order ahead of Ayodhya verdict

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, on Thursday, November 7, urged the people of the district to maintain law and order in the backdrop of the Ayodhya verdict that will be out soon.

Addressing a news conference at the DC’s office, she said that the people should give priority to peace and harmony in the region and refrain from taking law into their own hands.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner Dr. P S Harsha said that the verdict from the Apex Court is final and no matter what the judgement would be, no one should question the same.

He also called upon religious leaders of both the communities to create awareness among the youngsters to maintain law and order in the district and elsewhere.
