The grim conclusion to the search for Likit (18), a first-year PU student who went missing at Panambur beach, unfolded as fishermen from Uppala discovered his decomposed mortal remains in Moosodi sea after three days. The identification process relied on the chain around his neck and innerwear. Likit, a resident of Porkodi, was among a group of five friends who ventured to Panambur beach for swimming on Sunday evening, where tragic events unfolded.

Despite the efforts to rescue them from the massive waves, three friends were swept away. While the bodies of two were recovered on Monday, Likit’s remained elusive until this recent discovery. The fishermen’s sighting prompted a post-mortem examination at the local hospital, with Panambur police completing necessary procedures before handing over Likit’s body to his grieving family. The tragic incident serves as a poignant reminder of the risks associated with water activities, emphasizing the need for caution and awareness.
