Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada District Administration has directed the Gram Panchayats (GP) and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) to monitor functions and guarantee no violations, despite the fact that the recent government circular regarding Covid-19 restrictions makes no mention of weddings.
Recently, the government-imposed restrictions on Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. According to the previous government circular, the maximum number of guests is 400, said Deputy Commissioner Dr. K. V. Rajendra.
During weddings, people should be more responsible and obey government guidelines. The GPs and ULBs have been instructed to monitor functions, he added.
