DK registers 225 new COVID positive cases, four fatalities

dk covid 04082020Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district registered 225 fresh cases and four COVID-19 deaths, on Sunday, August 2.

All four deceased are from the Mangaluru taluk and had comorbidities.

The total COVID positive cases stand at 6,393, while 3,061 are active cases.

The district’s total COVID fatality stands at 180.

As many as 73 patients were discharged, on Sunday from Wenlock and private hospitals.

Among the 225 new cases, 147 are from Mangaluru, one is from Moodabidri, 19 from Bantwal, 29 from Beltangady, 16 from Puttur, four from Sullia, and nine are from other districts, informed the district health bulletin.
