Dr. Bharath Shetty Criticizes State Government for Security Concerns

MLA for Mangaluru North, Dr. Bharath Shetty, condemned the state government over the misuse of taxpayers’ money and raised concerns about security under the Siddaramaiah regime. Speaking at the BJP office in Mallikate, Dr. Shetty expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s failure to provide guarantees and its handling of developmental issues.

Criticism of Guarantee Schemes

Dr. Shetty highlighted the state government’s inability to fulfill guarantee schemes promised by the Congress, despite extensive advertising campaigns. He criticized the wasteful expenditure of taxpayers’ money on advertisements and emphasized the lack of accountability in providing guarantees.

Budgetary Mismanagement

The MLA criticized the state government’s failure to present a white paper on budgetary proposals and its inability to deliver on promises made in previous budgets. He lamented the stagnation of developmental activities under the Congress government and attributed it to financial mismanagement.

Security Concerns and Terrorism Allegations

Dr. Shetty raised concerns about the state’s deteriorating law and order situation, citing instances of terrorism and security lapses. He accused the government of being soft on terrorism and failing to address issues such as illegal cow slaughtering and pro-Pakistan slogans. The MLA also criticized the government’s handling of the Mangaluru cooker blast investigation.

Neglect of Development and Drought Management

The MLA expressed disappointment with the government’s neglect of development projects and its failure to address the drought situation effectively. He criticized the lack of leadership engagement with the electorate and highlighted the struggles faced by farmers.

Call for Development and Resource Management

Dr. Shetty emphasized the need for development across all sectors and highlighted the water scarcity issues in Bengaluru. He urged the government to prioritize resource management and address the growing concerns of the citizens.

Presence of Party Members

The press conference was attended by prominent BJP members, including Premanand Shetty, Sanjay Prabhu, Sanjana, and Vasanth Poojary, who echoed Dr. Shetty’s concerns and criticisms of the state government.
