Kasargod: Hundreds of women and locals along with endosulfan affected families agitated in front of DC’s office here in Kasargod on December 11 demanding justice to the victims.
The protest was organised by Endosulfan Victims Action Committee against the government’s ignorance towards endosulfan victims and their demands.
The protesters alleged that the government was trying to snatch away the rights of the victims by restricting the list of over 1905 endo victims to mere 257. The protesters also warned of protesting in front of Kerala Secretariat in Tiruvananthapuram if the demands of endosulfan victims were not met.
Human rights activist Ambikasuthan Mangad launched the protest in the presence of other committee members.
