Enforcement of Model Code of Conduct: Seizures and Deployment of Observers

Since the implementation of the model code of conduct, the excise department has seized 11.74 litres of alcohol valued at Rs 5760, while the police have confiscated 1.441 kg of narcotic drugs valued at Rs 309,500.

To ensure adherence to electoral regulations, eight expenditure observers have been stationed in the district. Additionally, there are 72 flying squads, 69 static surveillance teams, and eight excise teams actively monitoring the situation.

Over the past two days, in a concerted effort to uphold the model code of conduct, authorities have removed a total of 128 wall writings, 249 posters, 859 banners, and 114 other forms of defacement, amounting to a total of 1350 instances. Notably, no cases have been lodged thus far regarding these actions.
