Mangaluru: In the case related to religious unrest at the Mangaladevi temple, an FIR has been filed against Sharan Pumpwell of Vishwa Hindu Parishad for his alleged role in instructing Hindus not to conduct trade with Muslims at the temple premises.
Alleged Unrest and Religious Instigation
Sharan Pumpwell had reportedly instructed Hindus to engage in business activities at locations where Bhagavadhwaja was erected for Hindus. The incident led to allegations of disturbing the peace and promoting religious tension.
DYFI Filed and Legal Proceedings
Following these events, an FIR was filed against Sharan Pumpwell, and he was brought in for legal proceedings. The complainants included community leaders such as Munir Katipalla, traders, members of various organizations, and an official request to file an FIR against Sharan Pumpwell.
Allegations and Request for Arrest
The complainants demanded Sharan Pumpwell’s arrest, claiming that he had instigated tension by instructing Hindus and Muslims to conduct trade separately in areas near the temple.
Additional Legal Requests
The situation escalated further when District Commissioner Anupam Agarwal was summoned by Dinesh Gundurao to take appropriate action. The legal proceedings against Sharan Pumpwell and others are ongoing.
