Mangalore : A group of seven persons which intercepted a bus driver who was on way home, grievously assaulted him near the Paldane church, leading to his death in the hospital where he was immediately rushed for treatment on May 18, Saturday night.
The deceased driver is Prasanna (30), a resident of Vamanjoor. Though the exact cause of the murder is not known, an old enmity is learnt to have culminated in the attack. Prasanna died in the Tejaswini Hospital.
It is said the miscreants attacked him while he stopped near Paldane church to answer natures call. Kankanady police are investigating the case.
