Mangaluru: A gang entered a house in Kuthar on Saturday and vandalized it as they suspected a youth from the house had illegally confined a lady there. A missing complaint had been lodged earlier about the lady at Barke police station.
Two persons have been arrested by Ullal police in connection to the vandalizing incident. Shiyab from Manjeshwar and Majeed from Manjanady are the arrested.
Sunaina, the lady who went missing was last spotted by her sister, Mumtaz at a shop in Kudroli and then with a youth pillion riding in a two-wheeler. A police complaint was filed later.
A few people formed a gang and entered the house of Lobo, living in Kamath Compound located on the road opposite petrol bunk at Kuthar searching the girl. The gang reportedly vandalized the house and were trying to flee when police took two of the gang members into custody.
A case regarding the incident has been filed at Ullal police station. Police officials including Assistant commissioner of police, Shruti and others visited the spot.
