Giri Manja’s owner Manjunath Pai passes away at 42

Mangaluru: Manjunath Pai, popularly known as Manjanna, the owner of Mangaluru’s well-renowned and much loved seafood destination, ‘Giri Manja’s hotel, breathed his last due to cardiac arrest here on Wednesday.

Manjunath Pai(42) has left behind huge number of admirers whether it be top businessmen of the city, college students or even daily wage workers. The coastal city raves about Giri Manjas and their fish delicacies and also about the way Manjanna ran the place efficiently.

The homely Giri Manja’s hotel is located on Car Street and it has attracted people from across the city. Their affordable prices are one of the main reasons as to why the place is always flocked with people.

Pai used to personally talk to every customer and was well appreciated by them for his hospitality. It is also said that whenever he introduced a new dish he would have it tasted and approved by friends and family. Such was the love Manjanna had for people, it is said.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
