Mangaluru: Customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport on Friday, May 28 seized 262 gm of gold worth Rs 13.17 lakh from a passenger who arrived from Dubai.
Customs officials intercepted Siddiqua Miqdam Hussain (27) of Bhatkal based on intelligence and passenger profiling.
The passenger was found to have gold paste in his rectum after a personal search and questioning.
A total of 262 grams of gold worth Rs 13,17,860 was seized.
