Mangaluru: A prank can either result in everyone involved having a good laugh, or it could come to an unfortunate conclusion.
In Wenlock Hospital here in Mangaluru, a seemingly harmless prank turned into a waking nightmare.
Several female employees had, as a joke, sribbled their numbers on the walls of the men’s toilet on the ground floor of the hospital. Soon after this, they started receiving explicit calls from men, trying to solicit sexual favours.
The women have identified a male Group D employee as the culprit.
The hospital administration has denied these claims and insisted that there is no evidence of such activity and also claimed that the women were just trying to malign the employee in question. Dr Rajeshwari Devi claims that she has personally checked the toilets and found the women’s claims to be baseless. As proof of the women’s claims, their numbers can be seen on the walls along with lewd comments scribbled next to them. There is also evidence that someone tried to erase some of the scribblings.
The women claim that they have registered a case with the police, but the police say that they haven’t.
