Mangaluru: As a precautionary measure, the District Administration on Saturday February 26 has ordered the reimposition of prohibitory orders around all schools and colleges.
According to a recent order by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V., prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC will be in effect 200 metres around educational establishments from 6.00 am on February 28 to 6.00 pm on March 5.
The order cited the non-resolution of the hijab dispute for the reimposition. The order was issued after the earlier extension of Sec 144 that ended on February 26 at 6.00 pm.
Similar orders have also been issued by Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar for schools and colleges inside the Mangaluru Commissionerate limits.
