Mangaluru: Home Minister has written a letter to Padma Shri awardee Harekala Hajabba lauding his contribution to the field of Social Work.

In the letter, Amit Shah has stated that, “Seva and Samskara are very much inherent in our culture. Our great ancient traditions teach us to think about the society and strive towards its betterment. Continuing on this path, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has now established a solemn convention to honour such Karmayogis, for their selfless devotional service to the Motherland and the Society.”

He further stated that the country’s highest Padma awards are now conferred on those Karmayogis whose efforts, grit and selfless contribution benefit the whole Humanity. “I believe that your accomplishments will always be a beacon of light for generations to come,” he wrote in the letter.

He also mentioned that he is pleased with Hajabba’s sacrifice, public service and determination. “I commend your achievement and convey my best wishes from the bottom of my heart. May you continue on your journey of determination and be blessed with good health and long life,” wrote Home Minister.
