Honest autowala returns Rs 78000 worth mobile phone to passenger

driver innerMangaluru: An autorickshaw driver of the city has honestly returned a costly mobile phone to its owner left in his vehicle.

The person who returned the mobile phone is Arun, who has been working as an autorickshaw driver from the past 10 years. Bashil from Pandeshwar had hired Arun’s autorickshaw on May 20. While alighting he left his mobile phone worth Rs 78,000 in the autorickshaw. When Arun found the mobile phone, he went to Mangaluru North police station and handed it over.

Later, police traced the owner of mobile phone Bashil and asked him to collect it from the police station on Friday, May 24. Meanwhile, police asked Arun to come to the police station personally hand over the mobile phone to Bashil. Police have praised Arun for his honesty.
