Mangaluru: Naturopathy and Yoga are part of a Complementary and Alternative system of Medicine (CAM) / Indian system of Medicine that mainly emphasizes the concept of holistic health. We are happy to inform you that the First Batch of Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) at the newly established Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yoga Medical College and Hospital (YNYMCH) situated in the picturesque landscape of Naringana village, Deralakatte will commence from 1st March 2021.
The college takes credit to be the first constituent unit of a Deemed to be University in South India that hosts MBBS/MD/BDS/MDS courses. The college offers 5½ years BNYS Medical Degree Course and the Teaching Hospital is attached to this. The subjects taught are a perfect blend of Naturopathy & Yoga subjects and modern medical subjects. Interestingly, most of the Naturopathy & Yoga subjects taught are evidence-based subjects.
The institution is recognized by the Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka. The maximum intake for the batch is 60 students and the admission process is in process.
The eligibility criteria is to pass 12th standard/PUC with 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. After graduation, students can find placement as Academicians in BNYS Institutes and Universities, Scientists, Medical Officers in Government & Private Hospital settings, Health Spa Managers in 5 & 7-star hotels and resorts, Wellness consultants in foreign countries and India etc.
