Mangaluru: Five persons belonging to a community assaulted a boy and a girl belonging to different communities while they were travelling by bus at Paris junction Ullal near on Monday, November 21.
Police taking swift action arrested two of the miscreants, Tausif (23) from Kodi and Nizzamuddin (26) from Sundaribagh. Other three managed to escape.
It is gathered that the two B.Pharm students from a private college, the boy from Jharkhand and girl from Mangaluru had been to Someshwar beach on Monday afternoon. The five miscreants who noticed them barged inside the bus when the students were on they were back on their way to college. Sources said that, the five reportedly assaulted the boy and the girl with wooden sticks.
A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
