Mangaluru: Karnataka Tourism will be introducing India’s first paddle event here in Mangalore, with the Association of Paddlesurf Professionals World Tour, on its way here, prior to its formal launch this year.
In fact, APP World Tour CEO expressed his pleasure on holding the event here, stating that he hopes the festival pushes the sport to encourage the people of this region, giving athletes a platform to participate internationally and gain some valuable experience as they walk alongside some of the most seasoned athletes, acquiring some new skills and techniques in the process.
The event will take place at the Sasihithlu beach and is going to cover a span of three days, from the 8th to the 10th of March.
Present at the venue will be Shuri Araki, the youngest Japanese world champion, who achieved the title at the young age of 16, who has expressed his excitement of participating with the local paddlers.
Also present at the event will be Sekar Patchai, who stands at number one in the same field here in our country. Besides this, there will be top athletes from the APP world tour showing their presence at the competition.
It sure is going to be an event for paddle lovers here to look forward to. While everyone is training hard to put up a good show with a tough challenge, what happens at the event is for now a mystery.
