Mangaluru: MLC and State Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza has stated that he would file a defamation suit against three BJP leaders for accusing CM Siddaramaiah over land denotification issue.
In a press meet, Ivan D’ Souza revealed that he would file a defamation suit against BJP leaders, MLC B J Puttaswamy, State BJP Spokesperson Go Madhusadan and MLA Ravi Subramanyam for levelling false allegation against CM Siddramaiah over land denotification.
“The BJP trio, in a press meet, has accused CM Siddaramaiah of illegally denotifying 6 acres and 26 guntas of land worth of Rs 300 crore in the prime area of Bhoopsandra Village, Bengaluru North Taluk, causing Rs 300 loss. BJP is levelling a false allegation against CM. People in BJP are experts in levelling such false allegations. Even CM himself has stated that everything had been done as per the law. Moreover, I have examined the documents.There is no fact in the allegations levelled by the BJP leaders. The allegations are baseless and false”, he said.
“After gathering a legal opinion, I have decided to file a defamation suit in Dakshina Kannada district court against these three BJP leaders”, he added.
