Mangaluru: The lack of proper roads in the rural areas Dakshina Kannada District has once again come to the fore. An elderly woman, who was unwell is seen being carried by two men up to a distance of at least 2 kms as she is seated on a cloth tied to a wooden pole as there is no proper road at Ballakka of Noojibalthila Village near Kadaba in the District.
This video has gone viral and has been attracting attention of the general public, who are raising concern at the state of our roads. The woman in question is a septuagenarian and suffering from severe leg pain. As mud road is unfit for travel in vehicle, the family members were seen taking her in this manner on Friday August 19.
The road at Balakka connects Noojibalthila with Konaje Village. The rains have made the roads worst.
