Mangaluru: Team Siri and Matrix, in collaboration with the Department of Journalism at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), organized “Swacch Sulthan Bathery,” a cleaning program on Friday.
Nagaraj Bajal, the convenor of Hasiru Dala, was the guest speaker. He emphasized, “Inculcating cleanliness from childhood is crucial. This practice can help reduce dumped waste,” while also highlighting the importance of keeping water bodies clean. Bajal has played a significant role in cleaning the Nethravathi River.
Residents joined Team Siri and Matrix in cleaning the surroundings.
“This program not only helped in cleaning the area but also raised awareness about cleanliness and sanitation,” said the organizers.
Team members of Siri (Anusha, Maithri, Kshithi, Vinya, Prajnya) and Matrix (Sai Karthik, Radhakrishna, Salman, Arun), along with students and residents, were present.
