M.N. Rajendra Kumar has resumed his role as Chairman of South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank for the seventh consecutive term, coinciding with his 75th birthday celebration. Kumar emphasized the bank’s dedication to farmers, highlighting the distribution of interest-free short-term loans up to ₹5 lakh and midterm loans up to ₹15 lakh at 3% interest. He stressed the bank’s commitment to preventing farmer distress in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. Political figures, including Speaker U.T. Khader, praised Kumar’s three-decade-long service and offered support for the bank’s future growth.
