Mangaluru: A brawl erupted between two intoxicated youths at a bar near Kottara in Mangaluru. Ashok Poojary was assaulted with beer and soda bottles. Anoop and Ritu, who were associates of Ashok, engaged in a physical altercation over a minor matter, leading to a verbal dispute between Anoop and Ritu.
Ashok, who intervened, became the target of the attack. Vishwa from Kottara Chowki assaulted Ashok with a soda bottle, attempting to inflict fatal injuries by striking his head, face, and back with beer and soda bottles. Ashok suffered fractures in his head, face, back, and nose, leading to bloodshed. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru. The entire assault was recorded on the bar’s CCTV camera. A case has been registered at Urwa police station regarding the incident.
