Mangaluru: Manasa Amusement and Water Park at Pilikula here in the outskirts of the City will reopen on February 26 at 9.00 am following a two-year closure due to the pandemic.
Minister of Energy, and Kannada Culture and District Minister V. Sunil Kumar will be the Chief Guest for the re-opening ceremony.
MP of Dakshina Kannada Constituency and State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel will grace the occasion. MLA of Mulki-Moodabidre Constituency Umanath Kotian will preside over the function. MLA of Mangaluru North Constituency Dr. Bharath Shetty, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V., Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar, Commissioner of Pilikula Development Authority Venkatesh G. and President of Moodushedde Grama Panchayat Jayashree will be the Guests of Honour.
Manasa Amusement and Water Park is the largest of its kind in South Karnataka. Situated on 15 acres of land at Pilikula, it has got all amenities for a water theme park. They have Circular Plaza with Fountain, Family Pool with Multi-Play system, Children’s play area, Landing Pool, Landing tower with water slides, Thriller tower with dry landing slides and many more. In addition, Manasa Amusement and Water Park have Musical Fountain with Rain Dance in the evening from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
It is also introducing more Amusement Games, Conference Hall, Party Venues, Board Rooms, Open Ground for marriages and events, Luxury Cottages Inn, Lazy River, Toddler Pool and Wave Pool.
Entrance Plaza, Shopping Complex, Cafeteria, Family Restaurant, Locker Facility, shower and toilets for gents and ladies, etc. are available at the amusement park.
Park timings will be from 10.30 am to 7.00 pm. If someone wants to enter only for Musical Fountain and Rain Dance, they can procure a separate ticket after 5.00 pm from the counter, However, people having the Day ticket can enjoy Musical Fountain and Rain Dance as complimentary.
Manasa Amusement and Water Park have special packages for corporates and institutions. They are also introducing Privilege Club Membership for unlimited fun.
Speaking to News Karnataka Manasa Amusement Park Executive Director Sunil Rajgopal said that as per the order on Covid – 19 restrictions the park will maintain social distancing, avoid crowding and place sanitisers at entrance and also inside the campus. There are special packages for children of different grades, and 50% discount offer for senior citizens. This apart, there are special offers for the institutions. Pregnant ladies can enjoy the park but they are not allowed to take any rides. Musical fountain and Rain dance are new concepts. Along with this, seven more amusement games will be introduced in couple of months, he informed.
