Mangaluru: Mangaluru: Mangalore’s Smart City Initiative has unveiled another flagship project, this one located at Yemmekere, featuring an Olympic-standard swimming pool.
The swimming pool was inaugurated on November 24th of last year, in the presence of Urban Development Minister B. S. Suresh. Subsequently, a national-level master’s swimming competition was held, after which the pool remained closed.
It will now open its doors to the public for swimming, with final preparations underway. The pool, set to open in another ten days, is said to meet Olympic standards in terms of infrastructure and various facilities, including the management system.
