Mangaluru: The moderate coastal weather on a Saturday evening all of a sudden turned cool and chilly after the city was blessed with slight showers. Several parts of Karnataka have recorded rains in the past few days and on Saturday, December 3, rains hit the city by a storm due to cyclone Nada which hit Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The cloudy morning in Mangaluru indicated potential rain and at 5 pm, pitters and patters of rain drops were felt in the city. However as the evening passed, a drizzle was seen which turned into a slight shower in many areas of the city.
A few days earlier, weather forecast had indicated slight showers in Dakshina Kannada district as the aftereffect of cyclone Nada. Every two wheeler rider was left helpless as they had to ride back home in the drizzle. Those who finished work late had to endure slight showers which got them drenched.
According to Google Weather forecast, Mangaluru will be cloudy for another couple of days but it may not rain as it did on Saturday. Cyclone Nada was supposed to have moved northward to Andhra Pradesh but due to a depression in Tamil Nadu, it spread across Kerala as well as central and coastal Karnataka.
