Mangaluru: Congress Leader and AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge has arrived in Sullia, and participated in the election campaign meeting of Sullia Congress candidate G. Krishnappa.
Mallikarjuna Kharge arrived at the helipad of Sullia by helicopter from Mangaluru, and from there reached the front hall of Sri Chennakeshava Temple in Sullylia where the conference was held.
Kharge who arrived in Sullia was warmly received by Congress leaders under the leadership of Congress candidate G. Krishnappa.
Thousands of Congress workers participated in the backdrop of the arrival of AICC President for the first time in the history of Sullia. State and District level Congress leaders and leaders participated.
A strong police bandobast has been established under the command of police and paramilitary forces. Preparations for the programme were conducted by Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee, Sulliaa Vidhan Sabha Constituency, and Sullia Block Congress.
