Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a man’s spine broke when he met with an accident at Kalladka on Mangaluru- Bengaluru National Highway 75.
The poor victim is Vijay Kumar, a resident of Sullia, who is a mobile technician. He was travelling to Mangaluru when the accident occurred. The youth was travelling in a Government bus that fell into a pothole, and suffered a fractured spine. The youth jumped off the seat after the bus fell into a pothole in Kalladka Road, and in turn suffered a fractured spine when the rod in the seat of the bus hit his waist.
Vijay Kumar, who has sustained injuries on his spinal cord and neck bone and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru. Apart from this, doctors in Mangaluru, who have prescribed a spine surgery, said that Vijay Kumar has broken his spine due to a mistake which was not his own.
