Mangaluru: One person died in a collision between a motorbike and a jeep in Narahari near Melkar here.
The deceased has been identified as Vijith, a native of Belthangadi.
Sources claim that the motorbike skidded at the Narahari turn and collided with an Isuzu jeep with a Telangana registration plate.
According to information obtained, the jeep had come to Bantwal for the promotion of a padayatra.
Vijith sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. However, he passed away without responding to treatment.
