Mangaluru: BJP foot march, rider killed as publicity vehicle collides

Mangaluru: The BJP foot march was cancelled after one of its publicity vehicles hit a bike in the area of Kalladka’s Narahari Hill, killing the bike rider on Monday January 17.

The deceased has been identified as Vijith (35), a resident of Beltangady.

According to sources, the incident happened when Vijith who was coming from the opposite direction collided with the Isuzu vehicle. Despite being taken to the Thumbay hospital, he succumbed.

MLA Rajesh Naik visited the hospital and consoled Vijith’s family.
A case has been registered in this regard at the Bantwal Traffic Police Station.
