Mangaluru: Deputy Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly U. T. Khader demanded an apology from the people of the State over the death of Paresh Mesta.
Addressing a press conference at the Circuit House in the City on Tuesday October 4, Khader said that the death of Paresh Mesta is a testimony to the fact that the BJP is playing politics in the name of death. Instead of consoling the victim’s family, the BJP has been doing politics. MP Anant Kumar Hegde and Minister Shobha Karandlaje, who spoke for political gains, remained silent after that, he said. Now that the CBI has filed a “B” report in connection with Paresh Mesta’s death case, U. T. Khader demanded that the BJP leaders should apologise to the people of the State instead of remaining silent.
“Elections will be held in five to six months from now. The BJP is likely to do politics in the name of death. Therefore, the people of the State should understand the politics of the BJP,” Khader added.
