Mangaluru: CCB arrestes man for allegedly duping public

Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested a man for allegedly duping the public across the city by taking lakhs of rupees from the public on the pretext of providing them a job visa in Balleria. The accused has been identified as Sudhir Rao VR (42), a resident of BJ New Road in the city. He is accused of duping more than 30 people by not returning the money he had received from the public.

Mangaluru CCB police have arrested a man who was absconding after registering cases of cheating in various police stations in Mangaluru city and Dakshina Kannada district.

A case has been registered against the accused in the following police stations for allegedly creating fake documents to buy a car in the past and duping the societies by submitting fake documents to the societies by obtaining loans. And those who were the guarantors of the loan he had taken from the societies have suffered losses. A case has been registered in the following police stations for allegedly taking lakhs of rupees from the public on the pretext of getting them a visa from Bulgaria and not giving them visas and not giving them money received from the public.

Eight cases have already been registered against him for allegedly duping the public and financial institutions by taking more than Rs 50 lakh. Police said “he may have cheated several others in various ways and an investigation is on in this regard”.
