Mangaluru: The people of Sullia have been demanding the development of Jattipalla – Kodialabailu – Duggaladka Road for many years and the people’s representatives are not responding to it.
Carrying a public fund collection box in hand, the protest march started from Sullia Jatipalla Cross and assembled in front of Sullia Town Panchayat.
Addressing the protest meeting, Chartered Accountant Ganesh Bhat Mathanadi said, “Sullia – Kodialabailu – Dughaladka Road – is very essential. Till now we were waiting for this road to be developed, the people’s representatives used to promise but today their promise have been dashed.”
“We were expecting our MLAs to develop the Road this time. But they have not taken care of this Road. Even the Minister now has not done the desired level of work,” he said.
Addressing the protest meeting, Suresh Chandra Kamiladka said that the roads in Sullia are not being developed.
