Mangaluru: City closed 6 pm to 6 am, Prohibitory orders in taluks

Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V. has ordered all the Urban Local Bodies and Gram Panchayats to close down the shops from Friday July 29 to Monday August 1.

The establishments should close from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am. Emergency services/hospital/medical shops will be exempted and can operate.

Speaking to News Karnataka Deputy Commissioner said that only essential vehicular movement is allowed.

Further, DC has called for peace meeting with religious leaders on Saturday July 30.

Meanwhile, at the places under Bantwal, Belthangady, Puttur, Sullia and Kadaba Taluks coming under jurisdiction of Dakshina Kannada Police Unit, DC in a formal order has imposed prohibitory orders starting Friday July 29, 12.00 am until Saturday August 6, 12.00 am.
