Mangaluru: The “Mangaluru Civic Group” organized a unique protest on October 10 to mock the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) over the unrepaired interlock road at Kadri Junction.
The protesters who gathered in front of Kadri junction displayed an effigy of a dead body and criticised the MCC for not repairing the road despite several complaints. They also claimed that this unrepaired road had put commuters’ life in a risk.
Addressing the protestors, social activist Gerard Towers said,”The MCC authorities had dug the road right in front of Kadri Junction. After digging the road, MCC has failed to lay interlocking tiles in a proper way. This unrepaired road is posing a threat to the life of two-wheeler riders. Despite several complaints, MCC has failed to respond.”
