Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a KSRTC bus coming from Kushtagi to Mangaluru collided head-on with a private bus coming from Udupi side at Mukka junction here in the wee hours of Friday May 12.
Around 30 people in both the buses sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby private hospital. Hospital sources said many had taken first aid and left.
A private hospital was located not far from the accident and an ambulance was requested to be provided to transport the injured. First, the drivers have fled, he said. Then we said that we will drive ourselves and transport the injured. The hospital then refused to provide the ambulance citing different reasons. Half an hour later, the injured were transported by an ambulance from elsewhere, the public said.
