Mangaluru: Keonics President Harikrishna Bantwal said that Siddaramaiah is looking for a place to contest and if he has the strength, he should contest against Rajesh Naik in Bantwal Assembly constituency.
He was speaking at the Valedictory function of the ninth day of padayatra at Siddakatte as part of the Grama Vikasa Yatra led by Bantwal BJP and MLA Rajesh Naik. “The Congress is on the verge of extinction due to its opposition to Hindutva, he said, adding that by serving the people, Rajesh Naik has stayed in the hearts of the people. The Congress is completely afraid of defeat and if Ramanath Rai contests the elections in Bantwal, he will lose his deposit,” he said.
“They are saying that there is an SDPI candidate. If they have the capacity, let them take the votes of 25,000 Muslims and not withdraw their nominations when elections are nearing,” he said.
Sulochana G. K. Bhat, Director of the Sewerage and Drinking Water Supply Corporation, said that the people of the constituency and the BJP workers have worked in a way that makes one proud.
