Mangaluru: Traffic Police in City are being alleged of showing no mercy when they stop to collect fines but an incident that was witnessed at Rao & Rao Circle in the City on Friday July 22 proved that policemen to have public concern. Here is a police constable who has special concern for the public and won the hearts of the people by closing the pothole himself.

Mangaluru City West Pandeshwar Traffic Constable Sharanappa is the policeman who closed the big pothole that was formed on the road near Rao and Rao Circle in State Bank of the city.

Sharanappa, who was delivering his duty here this morning, responded to the difficulties of the motorists and went down to repair the road by attaching interlock pieces lying nearby. The autorickshaw driver who saw this offered his help too. Soon people joined hands with him and the public took photos and shared the same on social networking sites.

Currently, this photo has gone viral and people have praised Sharanappa’s social work. At least through this incident, the engineers who are carrying out the Smart City work should get alert and try to finish the work.
