Mangaluru: The Customs Officers at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) seized 741 gms of gold from a passenger hailing from Kasaragod.
The 24-carat purity gold valued at Rs. 38.53 lakh. The passenger arrived from Dubai by Air India Express Flight IX384.
The gold was in the form of powder mixed with solid gum secreted in passenger’s rectum.
