Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Ravikumar M.R appreciated Adani Wilmar for doing a good job under corporate social responsibility to eliminate child malnutrition through the Fortune SuPoshan project.
Speaking at the Zilla Panchayat Netravati Hall on Tuesday while launching the Fortune SuPoshan project by Adani Foundation, the Deputy Commissioner said that the project aims to improve the nutritional problem of children under five years of age, teenage girls, and pregnant women.
He said that it is necessary for private organizations to realize their responsibility along with government projects and engage in such social work.
District Panchayat CEO Dr Kumar, Women and Child Development Department Deputy Director Papabovi, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Kishore Kumar, and Rural CDPO Shaila Kargi were the guests.
Vivek Yadav, Project Manager of Adani Foundation said that currently, Project Fortune SuPoshan is actively working in more than 1200 villages and slums across 12 states of India.
“As part of the expansion of the project, we have started this project in Mangaluru Nagar block of Dakshina Kannada district for a period of four years. With the help of our SuPoshan officer, we have discussed the SuPoshan project with the concerned officials at the district and block level and are working on it,” he said.
Unit Head Manoj Srivastava, Plant HR, and Admin Shanta Kumar T.M. were also present at the event. Prema D’Souza hosted the program.
