Mangaluru: Rains have destroyed agriculture in the State. Farmers are reeling under the impact of heavy rains. Why doesn’t the Government bring it under total losses, said MLC Bhoje Gowda.
Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday September 29, he said that there have been frequent landslides in Charmadi and Agumbe areas. The authorities have failed to bring it to the notice of the Government, he noted.
“Why is the government yet to come up with a proper plan for this? The Government has failed to assure the farmers that the Deputy Commissioner is yet to know about the farm losses. The Government should compensate the farmers at the earliest about the loss of agriculture, he said.
Kodagu had collapsed under Kumaraswamy’s tenure. Kumaraswamy had planned it properly. Wasn’t it inaugurated by the BJP Chief Minister? Has not Yediyurappa inaugurated the project that we have done?
“The Pancharatna programme will be held in every taluk from November 1. The party will be strengthened to ensure that the Pancharatna programme reaches every citizen. People faced various kinds of problems during Covid. In this context, the Pancharatna programme is being organised by guest teachers in the colleges,” he said.
“When the NEP is brought to education how will the teachers in the Primary School give good quality education again. It is the first State in the country to implement the NEP. How much preparation have they made for it. It is limited to just making a statement and there is no preparation,” he added.
