Mangaluru: DYFI Dakshina Kannada District Committee led a mass dharna demanding compensation for Kurnadu Naushad, who lost his leg due to alleged medical negligence. The dharna was held at Wednesday March 15 at Deralakatte Junction demanding action against the erring private medical hospital.
Youth from various organisations in Ullal Taluk participated in the dharna in groups and raised their voices in favour of Naushad. In the afternoon, representatives of the private hospital arrived at the dharna site and talks were held with the delegation led by DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla at the hospital.
The Governing Body has been given week’s time to come to a decision on the matter and DYFI Activists agreed to put on hold and ended the dharna.
